Here's What Your Donation Does!
We raise funds to expand the programming, services, and resource capacity of the Longmont Senior Center. The result of our work enhances the wellbeing, safety, enjoyment, and sense of community for older adults in Longmont and the surrounding area.
From Maria, a Friends Scholarship Recipient,

"When my husband passed away, I felt completely alone. A grief support group (with peer-to-peer counselors with training funded by the Friends) gave me the space and the support I needed to start healing. I don't know where I'd be without it."
Annually the Friends of the Longmont Senior Center have
- funded 250+ fitness and general activity scholarships for seniors
- provided entertainment and education to 2000 people through Cultural Enrichment Programs
- given over $28,000 to the Last Resort fund that helps the unhoused become housed by providing first month's rent, keeping the heat on by helping with utilities, and contributing funds for seniors with medical needs
In 2025 the Friends purchased two new vans for senior trips and
in 2026 the Friends funded technological upgrades in the senior center building including in all classrooms, the lobby, and the gym
